AD Systems Introduces Industry-first Fire-rated Wood Sliding Doors
Everett, Wash., April 30, 2019 – To provide design professionals with greater flexibility in achieving their vision, AD Systems has pioneered fire-rated wood sliding doors. FireSlide™ surface-mounted, top-hung single-leaf doors offer the clean, modern aesthetic of sliding flush wood doors, while achieving a 45-minute UL 10B fire rating. The doors include self-closing mechanisms and self-latching hardware. Compared to swing doors, the sliding doors also save substantial space by eliminating a door’s swing path and by reducing the approach clearance space needed to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. These space savings benefits occur both inside the room and in the corridor.
The new fire-rated doors also come with acoustic seals on three sides to help enhance privacy and reduce indoor noise.
